Frequently Asked Questions
You take lots of natural, relaxed photographs; do you do many posed or group shots?
Certainly! There are always certain group photos that must be done and it’s the kind of thing your mum or nan will love to have on her wall. But I keep these to a minimum, usually around 6-8 or less or none, it's 100% up to you both, it is your day! Group photos are really quite time-consuming to organise and as a couple you’re likely to prefer a more relaxing time, on a day that will already seem like it's flying by. If you want 20+ different groups, I might not be the photographer for you because I believe in you savouring all the precious time of a wedding day that you possibly can, and letting moments naturally unfold.
As for you both, for our relaxed little portrait session, I use a combination of natural shots where you’re focused on each other and some with a bit of gentle direction, but nothing you don’t feel comfortable with. This time is most likely to be the first time you have alone, to talk, since becoming a married couple, so it's really lovely to wander off for a "photowalk", just roaming and picking spots as we go. Aim to find a slot within your day of 30 minutes if you can. Usually after the ceremony and groups (if you're having them). I can help with arranging this with you.
Do you have wedding package and pricing information?
Yes absolutely; I have a brochure which outlines information about my style, packages and prices (packages start at £1050) and all of the services that I can provide. Contact me today to be sent my brochure.
How long do you photograph for on our day?
My packages are for 8, 9 and 10 hours of coverage. I can also tailor my packages to suit your exact requirements, so please do let me know if you would like less or more coverage than you see within my brochure.
Can we print photos ourselves and do we have copyright?
You’ll receive a license for you to print the photos as you wish with the USB, but the full copyright will stay with me. That just means that you’re not allowed to re-edit the photos or sell without my permission. But you're free to share online, print, frame etc. If you need professional printing advice, I can help with that, no problem.
Do you require a meal?
That would be lovely! It's a long day and there aren't many chances to stop for more than a five minute snack perhaps. A hot meal would be greatly appreciated, it doesn't need to be what all of your guests are having and I don't need to sit with your guests if you don't want me to, I just need to be close by so I know when speeches are due to start. If not, I shall pack a lunch, just let me know.
Are you insured?
Yes! I have full Professional Liability and Public Indemnity insurance. If you or your venue require seeing this paperwork, that is absolutely fine, just let me know.
We love your style! How do we book you to be our Photographer?
Once you know that your date is available, a non-refundable deposit of £250 is required to secure your date in my diary. Shortly afterwards I shall organise the contract for you, which simple outlines the date you've booked, your full names and address, contact information and some timings and information so we have in writing everything agreed upon, for both of us. This £250 goes towards your package final payment too, so it's not an additional cost. The remaining balance is due six weeks prior to your date. We can then arrange a meet up, or a phone call or an email conversation, whichever suits you and your lifestyle best - to discuss your plans, colour schemes or themes and all of the exciting things you've got going on for your big day, to help me picture your day more. A little closer to your day, if you need more time, I will ask you to answer a few questions regarding timeline information, so that I know when and where and for how long certain elements of your day are happening.
